Not even snow storm Nemo could stop New York Fashion Week from happening. Currently, 250 runway shows are being shown, 40 of which are men’s shows.
According to Crain’s, the New York Business paper, an autonomous men’s fashion week is being considered. Those in charge at the Council of Fashion Designers of America are in talks with the production firm Advanstar Fashion Group.
That they are thinking about a men’s fashion week in New York is another indicator for the immense potential of men’s fashion. Especially the luxury market for men has been growing significantly in the past decade.
The LLondon Collections: Men, that also still in an infancy stage, is a good example for a young men’s fashion week that seem to be working well.
