The styling trend short sleeve over long sleeve could already be spotted at the Spring/Summer 2013 Shows, among others with Kris van Assche and Acne. Now for the season of Fall/Winter 2013/14 there are a lot of designers, from Paris to New York, taking on the trend, sometimes even modifying it.
Quasimi showed a leather variation in Paris (photo above) for example, whereas Duckie Brown presented a jacket version in New York. Especially remarkable was the trend’s interpretation of General Idea.
The Korean label which also showed in New York presented Trompe-l’œil variations where the models weren’t even wearing short-sleeves over long-sleeves. It just appears that way, due to the graphic prints used.
When the temperatures will allow it again, the trend will surely make its way from the catwalk to the streets.
