New York Fashion Week: ROCHAMBEAU – Spring/Summer 2014

Here’s a little add-on from New York Fashion Week that’s concluded now for almost two weeks. Apologies for this unacceptable out-of-datedness.

Fortunately Spring and Summer 2014 are still some ice cold miles away. So it is – if we may say so ourselves – absolutely ok to report on American label’s show ROCHAMBEAU at this point in time.

In particular because we can only recommend the collection and are hoping that at least a couple of people will be roaming the streets of Berlin wearing ROCHAMBEAU pieces.

Especially the leather aprons fixed in front of the chest make us salivate. There are instantly reminiscent of our first careful bondage attempts of going to Kassel strip club “Lavida Night” where we were once beaten to unconsciousness.

We do also like the rest of the collection though. It’s very current, mirrors the current sportswear trends and shows the now established shorts over longs pants trend we’re still into.

The Spring/Summer 2014 collection by ROCHAMBEAU might not be visionary enough to introduce a new era in the streetwear-meets-high-fashion-world but it is very wearable and absolutely contemporary – and in this fast-paced world that already means a lot.
