Anne Deniau was a friend of McQueen’s. She’s been taking pictures of McQueen and his work for years. The “Best of” her photos will be now published under a title “Love Looks Not With the Eyes”. A sentence that McQueen had tattooed.
Telegraph has already dealt with the issue in a wonderful article on a book, its author and the genius of McQueen. A phrase by Deniau about McQueen, that we especially liked:
‘People say he turned fashion into art but that is wrong. He was an artist and fashion was his medium; that is different.’
The book will cost 29,00 pounds and can be acquired per pre-order in Telegraph Bookshop. More information about McQueen and his photographer in: Immortalising McQueen: photographer Anne Deniau remembers designer in new book.
