GQ Style – AW 2013 – to buy or not to buy?

The new GQ-Style is here. We snatched up a copy of the 394 pages heavy style bible and checked what it has to offer.

The most important facts first though: 7,50 Euros are an investment worthwhile because the GQ-STYLE is the best men’s fashion magazine in Germany, the current issue is convincing as well.

RAF SIMONS gave an interesting interview for the GQ. He talks about his cooperation with ADIDAS, the limitations of the Dandy concept, and how important Interzone is for him.

Furthermore, one of the GQ editors met up with Dandy Diary favorite JW ANDERSON in his studio in Dalston (East London) to talk to him about the fusion of men’s and women’s wear.

ANDERSON is a designer we have talked about many times, while mostly praising him for having managed to create individual aesthetics, much like SIMONS or PRADA. A seldom trait during times where it seems like every other upcoming designer just throws a RICK OWENS  LOOK A LIKE COLLECTION out there.

There are also interviews with Helena Christensen and over the top dandy Stefano Pilato. You have probably realized by now that it’s stacked with highlights.

The only thing we find questionable is the choice for the cover boy of the GQ Style:

JAKE GYLLENHALL shines on the cover. He is without a doubt a great actor but a style icon? Oh well. He clarifies right at the beginning of his interview that he’s not much into fashion, then it’s all about acting. Enough said.
