GOSSIP: Sartorialist vs. Campus Sartorialist

Scott Schuman, the most well-known streetstyle-photographer in the world, has requested a 24-year old blogger to rename his blog.

A student Robert Weinblatt founded a blog to show street styles of his schoolmates. Blog title: CAMPUS SARTORIALIST.

SARTORIALIST Scott Schuman didn’t like that, at all. He said:

“I commend their entrepreneurial spirit and think the idea is great, but they don’t need my name to continue to be successful. If the site keeps growing it’s going to create a lot of confusion down the road. People might think The Sartorialist sponsors their site. They have to be prepared for success and using an already established, trademarked name will just make that more difficult.”

Well, that’s where Scotty’s mistaken: using an already established name hasn’t made it more difficult to become known – on the contrary.

Finally: The right Shirt for an Amish-Funeral

For years, I have been having sleeping problems. Every single night, one question haunts me, keeps me awake and simply leeds my into the already open arms of insanity: What would I wear, in case I am invited to the funeral of a beloved person from the Amish community? You know how it is, with those questions. Everybody has them.

Last night, after a long time, I could sleep (and then correctly: twelve-and-a-half hours).

I was absolutely relieved, because now I now: I would wear a dark stand-up collar. Like this one by OMNIBOYS. Or this one by NORSE PROJECTS.

You can not imagine, how relieved I am. Sometimes it is as easy, this real life in the fake one.

Preview: Adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams

At the beginning of the year, ADIDAS announced a collaboration together with Pharrell Williams, that shouldn’t be a one-season-thing.

The cooperation between the Herzogenaurach-based sports-article producer and the US musician is going to be a fixed thing, beyond a few season, is the declaration. The first pictures – more or less a preview – have been crossing the net today.

Two classics have been dared by Pharrell: the super-star training-jacket with the iconic Adidas-stripes and the Stan Smith – both items are going to be available in red, blue and black.

The jacket will cost about 1000 Dollar, the Stan Smith 150 Dollar. From the 20th of september on, the first pieces of the collaboration will be delivered to selected sneaker-stores, concept-stores and adidas originals flagship stores.
