Scott Schuman, the most well-known streetstyle-photographer in the world, has requested a 24-year old blogger to rename his blog.
A student Robert Weinblatt founded a blog to show street styles of his schoolmates. Blog title: CAMPUS SARTORIALIST.
SARTORIALIST Scott Schuman didn’t like that, at all. He said:
“I commend their entrepreneurial spirit and think the idea is great, but they don’t need my name to continue to be successful. If the site keeps growing it’s going to create a lot of confusion down the road. People might think The Sartorialist sponsors their site. They have to be prepared for success and using an already established, trademarked name will just make that more difficult.”
Well, that’s where Scotty’s mistaken: using an already established name hasn’t made it more difficult to become known – on the contrary.
