Aforementioned logo did not go down so well with the press, blogs, and the generally fashion savvy crowd on the street. Everyone hated it.
Now, American WALLPAPER Magazine honored Hedi Slimane late, awarding the re-branding of the logo with “Best Re-branding”.
We say congrats to Hedi Slimane for having secured this absolutely deserved award and are contemplating to re-design our logo as well now to first earn hate and then an award. First brainstorming results: white Helvetica font on black background.
P.S.: Hedi Slimane was a WALLPAPER guest editor once (2007) for a while. Just a wild stab in the dark but maybe that also contributed to receiving the award, apart from his revolutionary Helvetica logo of course.
