Berlin Fashion Week: Hien Le A/W 2013

Hien Le A/W 2013 – we unfortunately missed the opening show of Berlin Fashin Week. This was due to the night before the opening show going slightly overboard.

Of course we still want to recap Hien Le’s new collection “We see what we want”. After all we listed him among our three Must-Go-Shows. The designer found inspiration in the work of Mark Rothko.

Rothko is an artist of abstract expressionism and was famous for his ‘multiform’ paintings with transitional colorblocking. The first look is an example of fashion inspired by Rothko: a shirt with transitional coloring. Apart from those experiments with color however, Hien Le stayed true to his concepts.

He showed a minimalistic collection with harmonious color composition. navy, mauve, and beige, and an eye for detail, waistbands and pleats.
